Oh yeah, I wasn't telling you not to do it. I was saying for me. I have a really short wheelbase and a short slide on my fifth wheel. I have a flat, but with the headache rack, fifth wheel is essentially fixed. It's all the way back and I have very little clearance on the front. Because of that I've seriously thought about getting it, but I've never had an issue weight wise on my truck axles and only a handful of loads that required front over hang that I was interested in. To me, that didnt justify $600

My fifth wheel is a short slide also, 12 inches I think. I think king pin location all the way rearward is just forward of center between the axles. -

What kinda of drill bit should I get to drill the frame?
-
The belt ( not sure which one ) is squealing, they are tight not loose... I was reading online to avoid belt dressing... Have it replaced?
Airborne Thanks this. -
Drill bits are like anything else, you get what you pay for. If its a set of bits for 10 bucks they are garbage and will dull before toy get 1 hole drilled. You can usually find a set at home depot or lowes for about 30 bucks. Milwaukee is a decent brand.1951 ford and TruckerPete1990 Thank this.
