I love how people #### on FedEx ground drivers. I am generally passed all night long by other companies. My truck is governed at 70. I cruise at 65 all night long until I got places like Maine. Or unless the the clock is really tight because the 0061 can't seem to ever get the doors closed on time. But being able to hammer down to 70 to complete passing someone quicker, or get away from the pack of mongoloids. Cause we all know how slow people like to drive until a t/t tries passing them. Than they speed right up. Than slow right back down when you give up trying to pass. And you know other truckers do this #### too. Or ever just a little speed boost before a hill to help get up and over quicker.

They are suppose to close the doors at 0330. Okay cool. Call in to linehaul at 0445, so why aren't my doors closed. They have 5 minutes to close my tail or that trailer is sitting here all weekend. 45 seconds later, light turns green. Do 70 from the hub to station Maine, than back to my station with 10 minutes on left on the clock. 300 miles, think that will be possible at 65. Nope. Going to start refusing loads due to no time because they can't close on time.

FedEx is going to #### them selves, lots of failed loads will be happening.

The funny thing is last winter there weren't that many FedEx wrecks in the Northeast region. I saw a lot of wrecks from other companies from megas but not that many from FedEx at least in the Northeast region.

    Let me tell you (/sarcasm)

I got passed by Mellissa Valley Transportation last night (MVT). You know the guys that go slow to save fuel.

    ugh.

Thank god for Prime or I wouldn't get to pass anyone.

Dude, again, you put yourself in that situation.

You can look more than 100 feet in front of your bumper. Why are you waiting till the very last second to get over?
Very idiotic to just drive around with your head in the clouds and expect other drivers (in this case Fedex) to look out for themselves and you. You should've been in the left lane a 1/2 mile before this and if he wasn't letting you over then you should've slowed down and let him by.

That is all on whom ever made that video. They were warned before hand the lane would merge over. I hate people that wait until they are forced to merge. I never let those people in. I give people plenty of time to merge before the merge, if you don't take the opportunity that's on you. I also never speed through a construction zone. But I also don't slam my brakes down to 20 mph in a 65 either just for a construction zone. No reason for it unless the speed limit is changed for the zone. If there is no posted speed for the zone than the zone speed is normal high way speed, but common sense / courtesy says to slow down a bit, but not that much, slowing that much you are looking to cause an accident or major traffic delays. And that's why that FedEx driver probably hammered it down to get by. They don't want to be behind someone going to #### slow.

Maybe you guys should have learned how to run the speed limit instead of speeding all the time

FedEx isn't the only agency with trucks not speed limited below 65. The agency doesn't matter. You put any driver into any truck, they are going to go as fast as you let them go or as fast as they want, unless they are paying for the fuel. Until driver pay is no longer milage based where you get a pay raise the faster you go, you will always have drivers willing to go as fast as they can/want. This isn't just limited to FedEx.

If you want drivers going slower, a speed limiter is not the answer. Mandate nation wide, drivers must be paid a reasonable hourly rate and you will see all the tricks in the nation start driving slow. Because you will make more going slower than faster, unlike the current system which is opposite.
