    There is a reason they call them goodlucks.

    Spread axles are rough on tires not specifically engineered for them. If they don't warranty the tire, try to get continental hsr2. Failing that, Bridgestone 196 isn't to terribly bad.

    That's why I want a lift axle... That tires on the front axle.

    As for a lift axle..i got the whole kit for that Hendrickson in my garage. Havent out it on cause with this new truck I'm already to fn heavy. You ate looking at about 1200 bucks if you pick it up from them in Ohio.

    Hook it up. Stupid easy and will cost under 150 done right. I could literally walk you through it on the phone.

    You can't put lift axles on these trailers till it's paid off.

    Wanna bet.

    Edit to add: if you talk to the trailer guy he will tell you they'd rather you didn't. But as nice a guy as he is, he doesn't have any mechanical sense at all. He thinks a lift axle involves cutting and welding the frame. If you are really worried about it, buy the bolt on kit instead of the weld on then simply unbolt it if you plan on giving the trailer back.

    I've ran the countertop load once.... won't do it again. She managed to make 2 or 3 ltls out of them so it was like 2/mile, but even padding with felt, they tore the crap out of my tarps. Unless they are paying me enough to buy new tarps when I'm done, I won't run them again.
