My Hi-Point had a VERY heavy trigger. On top of just being awkward to handle and shoot. It also had a HUGE grip. Making things even more uncomfortable..

The only good thing it had going for it was the price, $135 with a metal storage case.

Aberdeen is another subject all of it's own, that's another red headed step child warehouse, they have ran so many people through that place that GFS had to decommission all the key cards and re issue new key cards. The computer guy there is also the take a long cargo van driver. I'm pretty sure the inmates run the asylum at that place.

$135/$125 for a hi point is about $120 too much

    airsoft might be more useful.

Browning Hi-Powers (BHP) however are sexy beasts.

You can find really nice gunsmithed ones (from super high end people) for around $1000 used.

The simple pleasures of LTL: When a customer says "I'll be there in five minutes..."

    ...and they actually are.

    That’s rare.

    Usually 5 minutes means 15.

Usually its the guy that has never driven anything bigger than a Suburban, telling you that they have plenty of room in the driveway for your truck.
Because their son-in-law can turn the 5th wheel camper around the garage.

Or the lady who bought a desk and hutch online and now expects you to unbox and detrash (for free). Because it was what they "paid for".
Along with putting it upstairs and assembling it for them.

True story. Had a residential with an appointment. Guy said he was going to be there. Got to the address and he was like "oh...uh.. going to be about 20 minutes".

I am already irritated enough so I go accross the block to make another delivery and kill time. Sure enough, at the 22 minute mark he comes calling wondering where I am.

I get back to his apartment complex expecting this douchebag to be there waiting on me cause it literally took two minutes to get there after I hung up.

I call him about his 130 lbs dresser and he goes "oh cool, I'm on the third floor, just wheel it in and set it up in my living room"..

Yeah... Sure thing pal. Just give me a second to put my shoe hoodies on so I don't track dirt on your carpet.

    Hahahaha

... no seriously. Your crap is down here next to my truck. You can sign for it or I will just return it.

My all time favorite is the person who tells you that you're a bad driver.
Because you won't risk damaging their property or your own equipment by trying to back into their single lane drive off a barely two track wide road.

My day on Thursday went about as follows.

No freight for my first stop (not a bad thing). Got the bills, but not the freight. And now the interline customer is all but hurt that THEIR loaders didn't load it and its OUR fault for not delivering it.

Second stop, has no room for my truck to turn around, and I can't back in or park on the road (4 lane road).

Third stop is an inroute pick up with the wrong address, so they got shuffled to the end.

5th stop had a bad address (companies old address) so it gets to come back for a re-consignment to new address

Get to my 6th stop and I have a flat tire off the bead on the rear outside trailer.

Next stop is across from a boat detailer who has to now move 8 boats so I can get into the neighbors loading dock ( I did not at all feel bad for that). This stop is also just across and down the street from the flat tire stop.

I then got to continue waiting for roadside to come out and fix my tire (by replacing a brand new one with a used one)..we kept the bad tire for warranty service (so the people who pay the bills claim).

This caused me to miss 5 more stops, in order to get back home in time to pass off the truck and trailer I was driving to the guy who had to take it out of state that night.

    I LOVE MY JOB.......:biggrin_25521:
