Mark, there's a MAJOR routing problem.
    Overdryve 8 Pro
    Settings
    Freeways: Allow All
    Ferries: Avoid
    Tunnels: Allow
    Route: shortest
    Tollway: Allow
    UTurn: Avoid
    Cross Border: Allow
    Dirt Rd: Avoid

Route from Pilot TS in Salinas, CA to 1721 San Juan Hwy, San Juan Bautista, CA
    S Sanborn Rd
    E Laurel Dr
    Natividad Rd
    San Juan Grade Rd
    Monterey St
    1st St
    San Juan Hwy
    ------------
problem: San Juan Grade Rd is a single lane Rd that barely fits a car. No Truck should be on that road and its marked with signage No Trucks. (personally I wouldn't drive a full size car down that road.

The signage actually says No Parking (Trucks over 5 Tons). I will have RM GIS look at the road for Truck routing.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Let's try to watch our Language please. We can express ourselves with normal words.

So, why do you think it is used? Did you pay for it or did RM send you a replacement?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    5vdc, 1.5amps..

Look at the USB port on the TND and see if you see five gold tips of the pins looking at you. Pins 1 and 5 are the power pins.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Picked up the 7 inch Overdryve Pro yesterday, gotta say, love the device. Do have a couple questions.

    1. Its not maintaining 100% charge when plugged in constantly. Its like the charger is not keeping up with the tablet itself. At the end of 12 hours or so, the battery will be at 75% percent. I shut it off while I'm in the sleeper to make sure it gets up to 100% before the next day. Is this normal? Is it due to using the XM part of the tablet at the same time? Or Wifi and Bluetooth? If I don't really have a need for the GPS itself (Long drives in areas where its not really required, like along I40 or I80.) I turn the screen itself off but the charging issue still remains.

    2. With the tablet not having Google Play Services and not Google supported, is there any plans for the Rand McNally market to actually carry important driver applications instead of being stagnant since the first TND Tablet? Applications like EFS CardControll, Transflow, Drivewyze, TruckerPath and others? It would be nice to have those in that trusted market and in one place than trying to hunt for APKs since those aren't in the market solutions provided by the tablet. And it would actually give the Rand Market a purpose. Or at minimum, host the APKs for those and maybe other driver applications so we don't have to find them from less than trustworthy sources?

Mark, the top two tabs that hold the speaker/charging box to the suction arm for the Overdryve 8 Pro snapped off while I was driving today. I've had this unit for less than a month and see this mounting method as a design flaw. I wish they had stuck with the stronger, more.secure slide in wing style design from the previous models. Those flimsy plastic tabs are simply not strong enough to support the combined weight of the tablet and speaker box. I really like the unit overall and plan to keep it regardless. Since a new one will most likely fail in the same manner I'm going to try to epoxy the mount to the speaker box. I feel Rand needs to redesign this mount to make it stronger. Could you let me know if this has been addressed internally or not? Thanks.
