Are most of Mercers customers closed black Friday for the Holiday?

 

No not that I know of why

 

I'm planning on working over the Holiday and was just curious... Flatbeds different from any form of trucking I've done so wasn't sure... This is 9-5 trucking

 

You must be running short trips at this company it's up to the driver if it's 9 to 5 it's cause you want it to be 9 to 5

 

Oh boy, I could tell from your first post on this thread how you was gonna be... Well I'd say 98% of the loads i see here are between 9am and 5pm... Maybe you work off a different load board than I do.

 

Working in the past not for Mercer I never delivered a flatbed load on Black Friday. Not to say that means anything.

Well ya might not here either I pull a van not on the flat bed side but never had any problems on black Friday maybe you might try out that ups I won't do it but you might van unload with ups on Friday rookie here trucking is trucking can't handle the pressure waffle house is hiring all shifts and they're open 24/7 365 not being a smart add just saying

 

I'd ask you what your talking about but since you don't even know that would be pointless... SMH

 

The vast majority of our customers will be shut down. If you want to work through the holiday you better plan on being loaded early Tuesday and don't plan on delivering till the following Monday. Most of our agents will close up by noon on Wednesday and not be back till Monday. There however will be ups running all through the holiday. That is most likely your best bet of you insist on working. There is also the slight chance an emergency load of flat freight will pop up between wed and Mon.
