I will be in SLC on Monday, not for orientation, but will be in the training room.

Are there any prime drop yards in or near Las Vegas or New Jersey? Also, do they let you keep your personal vehicle at a drop yard ?

Back issues, as in 'physically?' or .... back issues.... as in 'history of events....' ???

You should start a thread; but.. it depends on the above. ^^^.....

Prime is partnered with 'other' companies, regarding drop yards; ask your recruiter; wish I knew more. And yes, I've heard from many, that you certainly can keep your PV at the yard, in a locked gate.

Las Vegas & NJ....? Wow, that's just a bit away from each other, ain't it? And, just a little bit different....? LOL

NV.......cannot think of anything we have there. Prob not enough customers/business there to be feasable. Fontana/Ontario, CA & Phoenix, AZ closest I can think of.

Jersey..... yes, but?? In Newark, across river & down few miles from Tullo TS. Parking bobtail there, unknown. Would think doubtful, as is a shared general drop/transfer yard for many other companies, not just us. Not "our" place, rather a transfer lot for loads heading into "the mess". But, if you are local.....may be able to work something out with them. I have seen a couple bobtails there on occasion. Can't say I have seen any of ours, though.

We DO have guys that kind of exclusively deliver that stuff in to town from there. Got to park their rigs somewhere, though not sure where. Have never seen any one that does that work, here on this forum, though.

Only thing I can think of that would come close in NJ. Other options to check on for parking..... you got Tullo TS on Lincoln Hwy & the other postage stamp place around the corner. (New Jersey TS on Hackensack). May well have to look into local mechanics/shops or local storage places for a spot to rent.

I do have old student from the Bronx that I am in contact with regularly, though he left a year or two ago to run mail somewhere else. He would likely be an invaluable source of info along these lines.

Knows the ins & outs of NY Burroughs & NJ like the back of his hand, even for trucks. Man, sure miss his ### on those rare inner city runs & avoiding tolls.

Took more loads than normal into "the mess" with him, rather than dropping..... just because he knew it so well. Not that I didn't before... But, a rare case of the teacher learning a bit or two from the student. And, man.... I sure learned a bit of new tricks from him.

    Peace & good luck. :biggrin_25525:

If it comes down to it, I can scare up that old student for you here on the forum.

He WAS on here..... but, almost never posts here anymore. I can't even remember his name here, anymore! LOL

All it would take is a text or call, & can get him right back here, if needed.

He's become one of those shadow dudes..... that lurks but doesn't post much. Busy as a beaver at great job .....so, a bit of understanding in order. LOL

    Hey,
I was going through this thread and saw they don’t hire you if you have a termination.

I was literally fired 2 weeks ago, why I decided to apply to prime. I was fired for not meeting performance standards. Since prime doesn’t pay during the training period of no CDL figures be a good opportunity since I’ll be collecting unemployment and won’t really need to be paid .

Anywho recruiter called me yesterday and said he pushed my application through and I was accepted. So having a termination isn’t 100% disqualifier.

Does anyone know if I will need a copy of my dd214. It’s a bit late to be asking as I’m checked in to Campus Inn and start orientation tomorrow. I lost mine plus it totally slipped my mind
