Good on you for recording. If it was your word against theirs, Walmart's cameras would have been "glitchy" for that time you were there.

Definitely lawyer up and don't settle for just anyone who passed the bar exam in your state. Get recommendations for a good workers comp/workplace injury specialist. DO NOT try to do the workers comp paperwork yourself.

There is a reason that some injured parties rake in the dough for their workplace injuries- you may have an injury that does not allow you the same productivity at work for the rest of your life in addition to the pain and discomfort. And the companies responsible for enforcing workplace safety and federal/state regulations rake in money partly based off of the hard work of those same people they're supposed to be keeping safe on those docks.

That gorilla who threw the metal bar at you is an extension of his company, for better or worse.

For everyone on the thread saying that they would have intentionally tried to do worse to the OP for recording, just goes to show how pathological you are.

We don't know if the dock worker was aware of being recorded or not, although there is a high probability he did not know based on his continuing to act like a donkey and not requesting the OP to stop recording. The metal bar throwing then was just an escalation to the buffoonery displayed prior and not retaliation.

    an update for everyone.

Spoke to a law firm in person early this morning and they say I definitely have a case. They as said as long as I have proof as well as documents of my hospital visit, my case is looking very strong. They also told me Walmart didn’t want me to say anything because they want to cover their #####.

    Will keep everyone updated.

I think Walmart has a specific policy against drivers helping to unload other than peeling off the little rfid sticker off each pallet and pasting them to the little corresponding box on the bills.

Would he have been allowed to help even if he wanted to? Some places won't let the driver touch the freight.

Good to know. Another reason to avoid Wal Mart.

Well, they just don't want the drivers to get hurt and sue them.

We have to peel stickers and have to go into the trailer to raise/lower the bulk head doors. We are on the docks at all times.

How do you think I felt being inside of a dark trailer along with that maniac operating a pallet jack?

Law firm says not to make video public, so to anyone asking, no video at the moment.

Disagree. I strongly suggest he post the video so that we can make more informed opinions.
