I think it's $30. I'm on my first multistop load now.

Welcome, Ray! I'm almost at my 90 day mark here. This place is definitely different and the drivers on this thread, unlike most other places I've worked, will help you out as best they can. Their goal is to see everyone succeed! I've been driving since Jan 95. What's really cool about this place is within a year, you could make as much as anyone else here. What did you do before driving? You have a family with kids at home? Best advice I can give you is stay on this thread and take advantage of the lessons learned by these other guys...they won't steer you wrong!

Getting ready to finish up this load at Walmart WCH. Was planned on a PPG out of Lima to Houston I had to turn down cuz I wouldn't have made 0600 Mon. Then Stan asked about going to Utah but ended up with a short brokered load from Groveport OH to Capitol Hts Me that doesn't pick up til 1100 Mon morning! That really sucks!!! No it doesn't...another layover day and, after del, I'll be able to get to the J at Jeffersonville and get a reset in. Now Stan mentioned Jenn would have a load out of Norfolk VA. Where does that usually go? This week sucked for miles but that's going to happen. I will say if this is the busy season...I'm not seeing it but I've had some weird loads, too. C'ya!

I'm enjoying the West and Southwest...after a trip out to Portland from Wilmar...had loads of fun in the snow coming through Montana...got delayed coming back through Oregon headed to Buda TX...

The upside, driving through Utah and New Mexico, hadn't seen some of those towns in years and the scenery was awesome. Unfortunately the weather and delays resulted in me missing all of my appointment times, and I'm out of hours heading to Wisconsin, but what would trucking be without challenges. :)

No kids or wife, all my friends and family live back in Kalamazoo and I'm currently living in Detroit Metro. Have 8 years working in warehouse, hi-lo, LTL loading and unloading, BOLs, etc. I turned 30 and decided I needed a better job/income, and this is what I decided on. Asked my bank for 5k for everything to make this happen and was approved on the spot. Here I am now and all I wanna do is make some money. Hopefully get to see some views and cities in between and make the most of it all. Pretty much my story in a nutshell without writing a novel lol.

You will have a blast! And the money part? Take hold of what your trainer gives you and learn! Work hard then play hard! I guess the biggest thing is you're not making money if the wheels aren't turning!

Every once in a while a generous customer will invite you to stay a little longer and pay you to stay and be their friend.

I’ve also done that fish load.... I’ve also pulled ‘chicken hatching eggs’ out of Chesapeake where you got the famous $160 mandatory trailer washout.... all FDA rules for bringing in eggs from Spain to hatch chicklings..... all part of some program to replace chickens lost due to the Avian Flu epidemic a couple years ago
