CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

TO ALL CFI DRIVERS:
I have followed your site for awhile now since my son first obtained his CDL and was hired for his first job driving. He left when it was still Conway Truckload for a local job with Southeast Freight in Ocala, Fl after his first year and I enjoyed working for ConWay Southern and then ConWay Freight until I retired in 2014.
All you drivers are a joy to listen to on your site and you show professionalism, courtesy and safety to all drivers on the road. I wish I had the opportunity to meet some of you in person but being retired after my 44 years and 3 million safe miles here in Ocala, Fl I only get to see some of your rigs going up and down I 75. I am always in the Petro in Reddick and have met a few of you and if I see any of you I always offer coffee and some oldtime conversation to any of you.
This is a wish that you all enjoy a safe, prosperous and joyful Thanksgiving and upcoming Christmas holiday. I surely miss being out there with you but in another breath I would not give up retirement and being with my bride of 38 years for anything. God bless you all.

 

Movies were both pretty good ... Chinese ...not so much ..just kinda bla... Went Reidsville NC - Hueytown ,Al yesterday...I-85 Traffic sucked ... Getting load in Pell City ,Al ..deliver to Sanford,FL in AM ..then p/u in Bartow to head home with til Monday

 

I spent the night in Boise at the TA... Get a p.m. on my tractor, a DOT inspection on my trailer, And then found out another 400 miles... My recaps are killing me.

 

Getting unloaded in Sanford ,FL... Right behind a CFI trailer drop yard ... Looks bigger than JAX .....dirt lot thou

Just had another epic battle with dock 37 at Chrysler Belvidere. In a strange truck I might add. This one has two more feet of wheelbase than my usual truck. Doesn’t turn worth a crap. It took nearly 30 minutes to get it close enough to be unloaded/reloaded. Oh yeah, there was a guy using a jackhammer on the other side of that trailer next to me.

Yep, that's brand new... We doing use the LTL yards anymore. I do have a former girlfriends right next door in Lake Mary, so the new yard in Sanford is very convenient...

Except she doesn't speak to me anymore... It was something I said or perhaps something I didn't say, or something I did or something I didn't do... Like the song says I ain't very good at all these sexual games. Rooster, you're so funny!!!

That is only part of the picture. On the driver’s side, there is also a fire hydrant with four poles surrounding it. Place is super tight.

 

Shut down... Rawlins Wyoming... high winds... probably be here at least 24 hours... guess Thanksgiving dinner will be prideful and a little bit country
