    @Mark Kling

    Im trying to find a solution desperately. I have the TND 740 and it updates fine over WIFI however at least once a week i have to run the GPS Repair tool. Well this week it was almost done with the repair tool and stopped the process. Now I cant use the repair tool, open anything other than wifi menu, etc. It boots up to the main screen thats it. Ive tried everything i could find. Im out of ideas and Im hurting for time to resolve this. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Mark I posted earlier about going over a low bridge in Antioch Tennessee causing the 740 to reroute. I paid special attention this time and it happens at mile marker 59 on I 24. There's a bridge you cross there that caused it.

    Hey @Mark Kling ...

    Ran into an interesting thing with the Overdryve 7.

    I had been using the local search function to find about 90% of my shippers and receivers with no problem. Then I looked up one in Washington.

    Preferred Freezer Services in Richland Washington
    2800 Polar Way.

    It "found" it just fine in the local search so I set the route. I've been here before so I knew how to get there, was just putting it in for ETAs and such.

    Well, apparently Polar way is STILL not in the Map Database, and this place has been there for a while. (At least a couple years, based on my own visits) (Its frustrating that another GPS company that puts out quarterly updates from the same map provider (HERE) has it while Rand who is the go to company for maps still only does annual, and even then they are old, but...I digress, I really like the OD7)

    Well instead of not finding the place when routing to it, the GPS routed to what I believe is the center of Richland, in a residential, all the while calling it "Preferred Freezer Services", and showing the correct address. Which to me means, any time it cant resolve an address from Local Search, its just going to send you to downtown. Which means I cant trust local search, or at least I'll have to triple check it against Google Maps before committing the route. You would think it would at least try to get you close through GPS coordinates since it pulls the address info from the internet.

    Also, I know I brought up speed limits and their affect on ETAs before, but I think I was misunderstood. The GPS has the correct speeds in California. I'm saying they don't matter to the ETA calculation. Example would be, select a segment of I40 West outside Needles as an origin point, and a section of it outside Barstow as an end point (To take out the slowdowns of ramps and turns). Then calculate the time it would take against miles, while set to ETA OK. It will be in the Mid to high 60s for average speed. It doesent factor truck speed limits in at all, even though they are displayed. So its going to be way off in any state with a split speed, or areas with split speeds like Virginia. You have to knock it all the way down increase ETA more to get it close to legal. But then it screws up ETAs outside of California and those other areas.

    It should, while in truck mode, only ever care about truck speeds. I know its a minor gripe but its also simple math and something that shouldent be overlooked in a half grand GPS device.

    I ran into a truck routing issue. I was headed to 320 S Americas Ave, El Paso Tx. Alon fuel. Well I turned too early on Alameda Ave just before it. As I was going down to find a turn around it kept suggesting I turn right on S Nevarez Rd. This is what awaited me there:

    It then suggest a left on Moon when I bypassed that, which appeared to be a good truck route. Truck settings were set standard. I was at 78,000 gross at the time.

    Also as a suggestion mentioned before, can we get a separate volume control for the GPS voice? Using the XM radio or Bluetooth streaming, with it turned up, when she wants to talk, she YELLS. Would be nice to back her down a little bit so I dont ruin my speakers. You use to be able to turn down the gps voice separate from the tablet main in the older tablet.

    Another suggestion, for traffic, could there be an overlay possibly made, like a bar running either across the bottom or across the top or up the side that shows upcoming traffic speed changes? Maybe not for the full trip but for the say, next 100 miles or so. So you can get a heads up that somethings going on and you may need to re-route? Basically a green bar and different parts of it change colors as traffic conditions change in those areas. Would be easier to glance at it to see that instead of zooming out the map or changing to the traffic screen for a list of traffic next 30 miles. We already have a horizontal bar that ticks off our percentage of route completion, it could just be stuck under there when traffic is on.

    Also when's the next big map update tentatively planned for? I got the POI update the other day.

    I hope I wasn't too long winded or critical, I love the device, honestly. Just minor gripes and I hope, some ways to improve it.
