Works better to notch the rack for the apu mounts , and before anyone says it ,I have passed inspections for 6 years and 10 months with a notched rack.

Before i screwed with spacers and cutting a head ache rack id just buy the right mounts. Much cleaner look.

The apu mounts are of one type, notching tales less than ten minutes. You mark where you need notches , drill a hole at top corners and sawzall the notch nice and square. . Those square tubing spacers would work if folks would attach em to the with self tap screws

I still see no padding... this isn't the first video posted showing torn tarps, why is there no padding? The first video even mentioned needing padding. It will save the tarps, use it.

This video opened with "it still didn't fix the problem," so what's the problem? It looks like the lines are protected now and they don't appear to be getting damaged anymore. Are they still?

Wow, I mean after the first video with his tarps ripped to shreds, I would think he would have that aspect of it figured out that its going to continue to happen without using padding/protection.... Maybe now it will click with him, I hope?

I think he said he had air leaking at the tractor connections. His tarp job suc__ he may be better served going back to vans.

Yeah, but that's a fairly easy fix and not the original problem. That was with the lines snagging on the rack

Notching a head ache rack works fine. Same as the square spacing steel pipe when done right. But both look like crap. I'd buy the right headache rack mounts, or make them.
