So they took the time and found out who high hooked that trailer you spoke of the other day. The one where it was duct taped and not mentioned?
No, they didn't. They'd rather leave that bad employee alone and punish the good employee that would have actually reported it! -
You can blame that on Tony and Chad. After Paul passed. Chad gave a call and told how to get driver of the month. Then tried to push off the responsibility of awarding driver of the month to Tony. Both guys were too stubborn to keep a promise to the employees and went over a year without awarding it.
Tony's job is not just recruiter. It's driver liason also. Paul had no problem stepping up and taking care of his driver's. Tony on the other hand is company bought and paid for. He will side with them any day over you. -
A - It takes time to narrow down who actually did it, if you even can. Three or four drivers might have just shrugged their shoulders, hooked it, and figured it was already reported. Don't want to get the wrong guy.
B - You keep saying good employee. How good can he be if he's high hooking trailers. You don' t feel it hit the fifth wheel, stop and get out and look. Duh. -
Then best policy if you do something wrong at Magnum is keep your mouth shut!

In response to A. If the driver's didn't check the sheet and report it, they haven't done what they were told to do!sc00ter Thanks this.

Have just one argument for that one Oor, say you go to Gaylord and it’s the middle of January and the yard jockey has dropped the trailer on the pad and when it was initially dropped it wasn’t on a pad and ended up higher. You get out and everything looks kosher and you start backing and spinning on ice. Give her a lil more fuel and it catches traction and “high hooks” and busted the shroud. Of course you f’ed up and called and reported it (because you were raised to be honest). Does your reasoning imply that this is a bad employee?
