Elogs will work on anything, they are not the same as a ELD.
Some engines prior to 2000 can work with a ELD but not all. To simplify things the FMCSA just dosn’t require ELD’s on any truck with an engine older than 2000.

Ask your contact all those questions. Work closely with them. They are straight shooters and they know all the latest policies.

Now, I'm guessing that is before my truck payment and maintenance fund, because they don't have anything to do with that and would not deduct that from my settlements. But if fuel, insurance, IFTA, and all the other little fees come out and $1.73 is what's left, then it sounds like the average gross is well above $2.
I'm currently leasing at prime. I'm wondering… Can I take my truck over there to Landstar? My contract with Prime lays out conditions for me leasing onto another carrier, so I'm pretty sure Prime will allow it.
