    Oh no i don’t drive for them, i just get a load from them occasionally to get to a better area. I don’t see how those guys make it with those dirt cheap rates

    One guy said his lease is like 900 & change a week for 4 years, then like a 42K buyout at the end.

    So that's not a good deal?

    Sure, it you don't mind paying 230k for a 150k asset the depreciates in value rapidly...

    If and when I lease or buy a truck I intend to maximize its life.
    Avoid heavy loads as this beats the truck to death.
    Stay out of poor weather conditions to prevent unwanted corrosion.
    No dispatchers..If you can't choose your own loads...what's the point?
    No cheap freight.

    So let’s see if I’m understanding this. If I become a “lease operator” I have to pay for everything and the company still tells me what to do and where to go and for how long? Wow. I think I’ll pass and just keep my benefits.
