Anybody find it odd they made this eld mandate 1 week before Christmas?

Its our Christmas present from the government. Aren't you exited that government is looking out for our safety?

The busy time of the year for the mega is this time; they have all long gone to eld. It is no coincidence.

 

Well said. Anyone wondering how and why if you have AOBRD in your truck before Dec. 18, 2017 you're good until 2019, no ELD needed, and yes there is a difference. Two years is plenty time to hit the target.

 

Best advice? Try to get home for Christmas and stay home until they sort this mess out or freight rates rise.

 

So far nothing has really changed. Seems like business as usual.
