I saw that, and in my response I made sure to clarify a little better what a panic attack actually is. You can be very worried about something, but as long as it doesn't keep you from acting or thinking, it's not a panic attack in any way I've ever heard one described.

Biggest I pulled was permitted 13’ wide. I rarely go over height. And when I have not in Chicago. We got specialty trailers that skim over the road. So I haven’t had any issues on height. Some of the other drivers who haul bigger tanks have had some interesting issues. One where a crane takes a load off the trailer over a bridge and then the other side back on the trailer!

I typically try to plan my route specifically to avoid left turns, especially at uncontrolled intersections.

More often than not if I'm adjusting the route to avoid a tight right it's the turn into the customer. There are a few intersections I'll do it for though.

Of course it's not like I Google earth every single turn on the route.

There's times I will add quite a few miles to a route just to avoid dangerous, difficult intersections or freeway interchanges. An example is the I-35 and I-240 interchange in Oklahoma City. It was never a safe interchange for trucks and you have a real risk of curbing your tires in the cloverleaf (and who was the blithering idiot that added CURBS on both sides of a narrow turn!!!???).

I have a lot of customers with extremely narrow entrances, especially for a spread axle trailer. I always plan to make a left turn to get in there. Even then I can think of at least three customers that will require goosing the throttle as the left side trailer tandems hang over an open culvert (something not advisable in a tandem trailer). This is even after running off the pavement on the right, to set up the trailer axles as far right as possible.
