a person with no money and terrible credit sounds about the right type of person who would lease a truck and run for .96 a mile.
Few years down the road they will be driving a beat up out of warranty truck still having no money and terrible credit.
I don't care what anybody says, you can't defend .96 mile to pull a reefer.
I know of uber drivers who make money than .96 a mile and drive a Hyundai.
Bet you they take home more cash than JCT flease drivers.

Sounds like you got screwed. And a multiple thousand dollar a month truck payment is not how I want to roll. I can lease a new GD trailer for $400 to $600 a month if I want to turn my authority back on. Been awhile, but not that long ago. A used truck is doable with a couple of grand down and a 600 credit score, I have had friends that have done it.
Find an old truck, fix as you go, and you will be $$$$$$ ahead of the guy tooling around in the flashy new ride with the $4000 a month payment. I like Heinekens not Budweiser, and being debt free is even nicer.bigbyrc Thanks this. -

Read the book- "The Big Rig, Trucking and The decline of the American dream" before you make a decision. If you don't want to read at least watch the Authors lecture on YouTube.
