Working for Moore Freight out of the Knoxville TN area. I don't believe they hire where you are. We go to SLC, and the stack of printed directions they gave me has a good number of Cali customers, but I haven't spoken to any of our drivers that have gone there. They like to hire along their freight lanes which tend to be from TX to MN and east from there and also a good bit of Canada (mostly eastern provinces).

There weren't any open trucks when I was there, except the dozen or so that were waiting on parts and the garbage loaners that were lucky to make it out of the city before breaking down themselves. The reason there were empty trucks available for you to hopscotch around on is because people got sick of their junk equipment, the half-tard that use to run the shop and their endless shipping delays (that took them years to finally get a handle on).

As for my #####ing about my comany...care to make a non-monetary wager on it? Simple stakes, I last 6, 8, 12 months (your choice), if I don't go back to my old #####in ways...you admit you were wrong and were just running your mouth...If I do revert back like you (and several others) claim, I will do the same... so far, any of the other forum rambos have chosen to ignore me when I post the same offer to them instead of risking having to admit they're wrong (forum rambo is the same as a radio rambo who hides behind a microphone and talks trash, only they're doing it on a forum)

I'm not selling anything. Just telling you the truth.
We get a 1000 bucks for recruiting a driver.
You know how much I've got, not a penny.
I can't give this job away.
    I don't even try anymore,I don't need the money.

Ive tried telling the typical joe truck driver about it
Who makes half as much. They don't believe any
    Any of it,so I don't bother anymore.

Several people I’ve talked to at Poly are old folks who are all paid up as far as the world goes ... they just hang out for the
    insurance and bank the rest

Talked to one guy that retired and came
back , apparently he just got bored being
    home all the time

    :dontknow:

has anyone ever heard anything from Tony "Hollywood"? When I left, he was waiting until the end of the year before leaving himself...but said he work from them again IF they would give him a new truck (that wasn't an International) and would allow him to traverse up and down the east coast once they got the SC plant up and running, since he was moving to Melborne FL he could get home often that way.

Tony is back driving for poly.
I seen him at the drivers meeting.
He came back after the hurricane
    Hit Florida.
Guess it was no more grass to cut.

read the whole thread from the beginning and if it doesnt make sense read it again, its all inthis thread, and the other few poly threads. figuring out what your gonna make and how much your gonna be home and how much your gonna break down at poly is kinda like trying to figure out that stuff if you bought a truck. where you live, how much you want to go home, where you like to run and just the luck of breakdowns all factor in. if your comparing it to a normal otr job then yes i believe you will make the same or more than any other otr dry van company job. whether you will be happy only you will kno. the question is can you go back to your current job if it doesnt work out or would you want to? if your worried about losing money from the time between switching jobs then i would say poly isnt for you as its possible to go 3 wks without pay with the way the paperwork work. some guys say im not goin that long without pay, i would question your money management skill if you cant, if your scared of not gettn paid like someone is gonna screw you thats not the case.
