May, most certainly does charge you for idling. The main reason I left 4 years ago. I was based out of Florida and you have to idle or die down there. My settlement was always short for idling. Unless you are North West stay away from May.

Yes I don't understand why they would charge for Idle for southern drivers like they would for the northern ones..45 is hard to keep it under down south..
-
Again, and for probably the 100th time, the only way you’ll ever get charged is if you’re one of these types that thinks you need to idle when it’s 60 degrees outside.
And, I worked there 5 years ago for a year and I have been back working for them for the past year and a half.
And, besides idling, they’re actually a better company now days then when I was here 5 years ago. They still have a few things they need to improve, but I’m happy overall. -

I got home a week ago. I was out 4 weeks and 2 days and turned in 12.5k miles and didn’t do any 34 resets.
The only time I ever get stuck is on the rare occasion I have to wait for some retard to repower a load.
I had to wait 2 days for one brainiac to drive 600 miles, but I got paid $260 for it ($130 a day layover).
Everyone defines their own “better company”. Again, they have a few quirks, but I like the Pensacola group and they treat me well.Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
What’s starting pay for experienced drivers?
-
I suppose it depends on how much experience. Probably .43-.45 cpm.

Are there trucks decent? Any issues besides common maintenance?

I get a pre plan maybe half the time before I deliver. Sat 2 days at one of the yards in January and did get layover for that. As far as maintenance most of the trucks are newer and in good shape. The guys in breakdown though are total #######es..Fortunately you don't habe to deal with them much.
