I have heard that as well. When I turn it off it will cycle as you say. My unit is not tied into the ignition switch so it always does the cycle. I think my fuel treatment may have got to it. I guess i can tear it apart and see what I see.

Look on YouTube. There are plenty of videos showing how to replace screen and igniter. Look on line for kit. Contains fuel filter for the fuel pump, screen and igniter all for $80.00. Look for kit that comes with the special tool for igniter.

Highway Sailor and RStewart Thank this.

Holy smokes. I can rebuild my engine plus buy new heads for less than that.

Dang. They are proud of their parts. I bought 2 of those clamps at my local Freightliner for $9 each. Bought the flex pipe piece on the exhaust for $30.

    Like previously mentioned, YouTube.

That's ok. We need a tax write off for the extra money we have from fuel mileage. So it all works out in a wash. Lol

NXS C15 Acert. So it'll be plenty expensive lol

I've been running this truck a few years with no other real issues other than a couple of injectors and the exhaust manifold gasket. Had like 37k engine hours and nearly 1.1 million miles so it was to be expected. Just didn't want to do it until next winter but it'll work out.

    RStewart and thaistick Thank this.

oh.... you got a yellow (thinks it made of gold) engine. Not a Cat guy, but is that the twin turbo setup?
I'd tempted to just do a delete. A new turbo on my Detroit is about $3000, when it goes, I'll be tempted to do a EGR delete, new exhaust manifold, Borg Warner turbo, and a ECM tune and only spend about a grand more...

    RStewart Thanks this.
