You know, I almost forgot what these blue things were for. Now I have a second load in a row requiring them. What's this world coming to?
Btw, I would normally strap first, but the snow and rain was coming.
Highway Sailor, thaistick and RStewart Thank this. -
I like the camaraderie here. I never felt it there. For me, I like it here. Some will prefer Landstar.CJndaTruck, Highway Sailor, thaistick and 1 other person Thank this. -

Last week. Delivered to Herlong. It's an Army depot. Picked Fort Irwin to Camp Pendleton. Picked El Centro NAF to Yuma. Back to El Centro NAF to deliver back to Herlong this week.
This week. Delivered Herlong. Then a crappy steel load. I won't tell you my next load, but it is another military.
As far as better options, not sure I'd say that. They may have more RGN stuff, but I don't know. -

I wanna know, how can some of these agents bid on a load, but they don't even know what they are bidding on? I call today on a load that needs 6' tarps and it says "machinery" in the description. I ask the lady was she the one who got the load. She says yes. I ask her what is it she says it a compressors on skids with parts. To me that sounds like a disaster of a tarping job. I ask her was it crated and she doesn't know. She only is going by what she was told? Any pictures I ask? No. The person trying to get the load moved isn't going to tell them "ya its going to be several hours tarp job with lots of padding etc etc" because they they know a good Agent is going to bid it high so the driver doesn't get screwed. So if you bid on it why wouldn't they request pictures? When I worked at yellow freight they had a couple people who's jobs was to go on the dock and measure and picture and document everything. That was well over 10 years ago. With how technology advances more and more I would think it would be almost standard to have a photo of what's being shipped... Is my thinking that wrong?
