Can't see down side better rolling resistance. Lower vertical height more pulling power less weight. Maybe even cheaper go a couple MPh less better fuel mpg on second thought why haven't you done them yet

Not that it's a plus or a negative, but what do they give for a casing these days? 22.5 big rubber vs 22.5 low pro.

Next to nothing. So i regroove them and run them another 50k miles. Figure an extra 50k miles is worth more than the 25 to 50 bucks TA says a good casing is worth. Tho i have considered sending my good casings out to get capped, but considering how few miles i run my casings are so old i don't know if that would be a good move. At some point age catches up to the rubber and steel belts.

Usually a stiff bourbon and coke and 4 advil.

The grooving tool was just over a hundred bucks and blades are 5 bucks or so for a dozen. I can do 4 tires on the truck in two hours if i keep at it.

Pete, if you only need to replace the bug screen go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get 1/4" hardware cloth. Its actually not "cloth" but galvanized wire screen and is usually sold three feet wide by however many feet you need. It won't stop bugs but it will stop small stones/gravel. And its cheap.
