This is a job of last resort. Many drivers entering this industry are destitute, rap sheets a mile long, dodging child support, escaping reality, etc. It's not the middle class blue collar job of days gone by.
You want detention, these guys are happy as clams to have a heated fiberglass box to sleep in. You want pay raises, they want to hobo around the country in the big truck
The industry isn't stupid, they know this and use it to their advantage. Starve out those pesky malcontents who want hometime and detention, and lease a truck to the homeless with a fuelcard.tman78, OldPhartTrucker, Wargames and 5 others Thank this. -
