I wouldn’t run one in a crowded truck stop.

 

the gas generator is mounted on frame and the road vibration will kill it. one beautiful they it will leak gasoline. Now imagine it started leaking gasoline, the truck is parked in truck stop and outside is 100F...if you like your setup use diesel generator.

I used a honda gas generator for years along with a 8000 Btu air conditioner. I would do it again as a better choice over an APU.

 

I have seen your setup here. if outside is 105f inside of cab will be 90f by using 8k btu window unit

 

True, if I do it again I will get a 12k Btu unit. But the 8kBtu worked OK when the sun went down....
