Not mentioning names. But “here at Walton farms a guy bob tailed for 2 1/2 hours. We only have 5 drivers, so you’ll never figure out who the idiot driver at Walton farms was.”

Some dudes (chicks) will never get it

I always said that about working for the beer company when I worked there. I always made sure that my paper work and numbers and money was all in order because after a while all that counts for something too. Actually with the beer company driving was just a bi-product of that job, most of that job was everything but driving.

It never ceases to amaze me how certain shippers/receivers take it upon themselves to scrutinize wash tickets and the like. I can understand with milk...I had a situation at a place that loads freaking ROUND UP. It was a top load but I didn't have a prior bol. They really wanted to reject me. I had Dispatch fax an old bol and gave them a bogus story on why it was a week old. They loaded me, and afterwords checked this huge ledger they keep on every trailer they load. They were very upset I lied to them and said they'd be keeping a close eye next time. It just amazes me how much effort they put in to screwing my day up. Round up for god sakes...

That's so epic. What happened after? Still employed?

I just hope the driver learned from his mistake. Things do happen but as drivers we have to learn from them. It is best to prevent them in the first place. BTW this company is not as small as people here think. We have 30+ drivers.

I'm not even talking trash im just putting this out there so hopefully anyone that reads this doesn't make similar errors.

It's best to have as much knowledge as possible so we can avoid these things in the first place. Years ago when I was a milk receiver I watched a milk truck burn to the ground because the driver took a turn too fast. The truck was not a Walton truck but another company's truck. Milk hauling is a huge industry in my neck of the woods. The driver lived but the rig was completely destroyed.

It was probably a good thing I saw that years ago, because I have more respect for smooth bore tankers. Smooth bore tankers are unforgiving if you take turns too fast.

Learn from the mistakes of others. If I make a mistake someday, I would hope someone else would also learn from my errors. Hell I would even tell others about my mistake openly. Hey I screwed this or that up, don't be like me. Lol

No hard feelings. Try to help others out with knowledge. Even when I'm the on making the screw up.

Learn from HIS mistake? You have no idea if it was him or your boss that made the mistake.
Ive been sent to BFE a few times by bosses to do this or that and get all the way there and find out the boss had his head up his Brown eye
Or the customer did and gave bad info to my boss which in turn made it to me.
