Only in your mind! There is NO rule that states a Medical Examiner needs a letter to approve a medication. Don't quote that rule that has been quoted in here 2 times already. I know what it says. Some Medical Examiners are also physicians. As a Physician they can make a medical judgement without a letter. I have asked the FMCSA about this. My advice is DON"T do it get that letter.

Doctor will just tell you ‘ dont take them
while your driving ‘ ... their job is to provide primary care and healing .... not
become entangled with the DOT iirc

My HR guy directly said “ NEVER EVER “
bring up anything like that at the place I work ... don’t even use the word
    “ stress “ ...

These companies are nothing short of
paranoid when it comes to liability

    Wow.

Ride on dude, see here is the problem, you are asking an opinion from people who will not be signing your physical.

So here is a bit of news, you need to talk to an examiner.

You need to ask them directly.

The problem is this, if you start the process, then that examiner CAN and most likely will asked your doc to explain what scripts he/she has given to and why.

The examiner can do that, and no one can say they can't.

now if the examiner says "nope I can't clear you" then you have to work with that examiner to figure out what is preventing you from getting a passing signature on that physical.

The problem I have with you and this idea that your doctor should stay out of this is that you are paying your doc to be the authority about your care, so don't hesitate to get them involved.

    28 Thanks this.

    My advice <<<<

    >>>>> Follow your doctors orders

    >>>> and let the DOT examiner do his job and
    accept the outcome

If its ok with the DOT Doctor ... then your free to roll

PS: EVERYONE i know is on a 1 year card due to being on some kind of meds
