My understanding is '13 and '14 Paccars were the worst of them.

I’m pulling reefer mainly East of 35 with a strong emphasis on the Northeast and MidAtlantic. I’m running the new A26, 2.50 rear end, cruise at 1275, super singles, and the 10 spd Direct Eaton Advantage Manual Trans. I’m mostly 70k or higher gross with a few 65-68k and even fewer where I’m 58-60, that’s pretty rare. I just got my IFTA in from the first quarter and got 9.1 mpg with this spec. I cruise at 60 mph.

2.50 rear. I copied what I said in a previous post below:

My only problem with it is being empty when it’s really icy or snow on the ground, by that mean snow packed. When Im loaded those conditions aren’t an issue. Also be aware of severly uneven ground. You only have on powered axle, so if it gets up in the air and only the rear is on the ground, you’re stuck. My salesman at International has told me that, soon, they will be offering the Hendrickson liftable pusher 6x2. The liftable pusher is a much better setup than the tag.

A cheap electric winch will solve that if its only when you are empty. Or a chain and comealong.

A damper is easy to install. Save the 250 in labor.

Dude. Dont let air guns near your engine. Every single bolt on an engine has a torque rating. A small air gun to zip bolts in to save time is ok, but only if you follow along with a torque wrench or ratchet.
