    Problem solved ;)

There was another Crete today blowing by with 75 mph on I-15 down to Vegas
I looked at the truck number, it was 4 digits :)

I work in an area that has docks across from each other & inches apart in Kent Wa. I am a very experienced driver, but I have a daycab tractor that is so long that put next to a W900 with a studio sleeper I am a little longer. I back & pull out 4-6 trailers a day all 3 & 4 axle maxicubes & I am very busy but still have to respect the area I am working in.
2 Crete trucks come around the corner like a bat out of hell flying over speedbumps then park in the middle of the road go check in, then neither one could back worth a ####. Back up, pull up over & over quick panicky movements like they were picking up Ice cream melting on the dock.
Neither had the courtesy to stop & let some traffic pass so I finally walked over & stood in front so some trucks could clear out.
When you back in, especially tough areas, you need to do it slowly & methodically. If your having a bad day or do not understand backing, like doing a proper setup, at least have the courtesy to stop & let some traffic pass.

Maybe they were in the new automated transmission trucks. I drive one (not for Crete) and there is no "slow and methodical" way to back this boat anchor...with mine it's barely move and then the "clutch protection" kicks in and you stop until the clutch cools, or it dumps the clutch and backs you up like a streak of lightning. Not that I am making excuses for them, they may have just been idiots...but after driving (and hating) an auto, I probably look like an idiot backing up with this thing.

Drove an automatic for Schneider for 6 months. Backing in an automatic, especially if it’s slightly uphill, is like trying to crack an egg with your foot without spilling any egg white.

Crete is decent. I think it’s crazy they pay $70k and still can’t find enough drivers.

Are they still testing for sleep apnea?
Nobody’s posted that Crete ranked 293rd out of the 500 random companies that answered the Forbes poll and thus put Crete on the Forbes List of Best Employers.
I predict seeing a lot of Forbes subscribers driving Crete trucks real soon.
