hello. I'm a Schneider Prisoner looking to escape. I need advice or help on how to go about doing this. here's my situation:

6 months driving experience now in van. no endorsements yet.

i owe them $1,200 for tuition if I leave today.

I was making 43 cpm but got dropped to 37 cpm to do a home depot dedicated account.

I'm not extremely experienced but I'm not the standard stupid rookie. I can learn and handle myself just fine.

what I am looking for ideally is to get out of working for Schneider and not paying out of pocket for $1,200. I'm also looking for a company with a minimum 2200 miles and pay no lower than 43 cpm.

if they can go over 63 mph and have options to have fridges/cooking equipment that's a huge bonus.

if they let me carry my gun that's even better.

I'm not going owner op for any reason.

is there such a way to accomplish all of this or am I simply jerking off to wishful thinking?

Where do you live? Also, how much longer would you have to stay at Schneider to get the $1200 paid off? I would focus more on going somewhere with good accessorial pay and minimum weekly pay rather than insisting on minimum miles. Hopefully @Chinatown will chime in with some good suggestions. I work for Britton Transport out of Grand Forks, ND. They treat me well and pay/miles are good. I wish they had a minimum guaranteed pay but that said I average over $1000 weekly anyway. They require 2 years experience to go out without a trainer so if you went with them they would make you go with a trainer for a week or so mainly to make the insurance people happy. Best wishes!

KB Transport is paying that I think but I recently read a post about a guy leaving there because of the work environment.

I work for Schneider as well. Schneider doesn’t pay for schooling, but they do reimburse. I’m not sure what you mean that you owe Schneider the money if you quit. If anything you owe the school you went to money.

Sounds like you are a solo driver governed at 63mph. (Since teams are governed at 65) Most likely running the Home Depot dedicated out of Topeka. Raises come fast. Ran it for several months bringing home 1400$ a week. It’s not a bad account at all, especially once you get the raises with that account. Guaranteed miles and easy routes.

No endorsements? Why not? Having the hazmat endorsement will give you more money for every mile you drive, not just hazmat loads. I’ve pulled three hazmat loads in the last two years, (and less then ten hazmat loads in the last eight) but received more cpm for every mile of non hazmat driven.

Most companies won’t let you carry a firearm in your truck. It’s an insurance liability not to mention a hefty ticket.

You’re never a prisoner, if you don’t like something change it. You don’t like Schneider? Leave, it’s that simple. Try out other accounts, or find another company.

You should just wait out the six more months and be free of any obligation.

The 6 month rookie curve ... Trucking isn't everything you thought it would be. So it's the companies fault and you want go someplace better.

It doesn't get better at your next company. But you figure it, you get better, so it all becomes better and your new company is better.

Or you could just stay where you're at and figure it out.

stay a year ... Schneider may not be the best company to work for but they are very far from being the worst and most of the good companies don't do training (they don't need too think about that ) so most companies that take less than a year that would hire you are going to be worse than were your at now

First, show up every day, with a good attitude.
    Stick it out.
    Wait for the raises.
    Get the endorsements.
YOU bettered yourself, in the same place, by showing tenacity.
    Then move on, if appropriate.
Best of luck; luck's not random, you make it for yourself.

(Just a random comment, not referring specifically to you, life in general.)
I like the guys who move to a new place/company/female or whatever, and bring their problems with them.

You don't know who the mark is - in a Poker game, it's you.

    Wait out the 6 months.
Not only are you no longer on the hook for the 1200 you will also have a lot more doors opened with 1 yr under your belt.
