May I ask why you decided to leave law enforcement ?

I'm not the OP but I'd guess he got tired of dealing with crack heads, meth heads, junkies, and other assorted crazies for less than migrant field labor makes.Epal420 Thanks this.

Well the great thing about it is you'll know all the rules of the road? Hope your new venture into the trucking industry goes better then the food market.

Listen to this advice and pretend I just repeated all of it.
One more thing. Columbia, SC, is not exactly a great hub of industry. I lived there for 30 years, and still have family there. Chances are good that you might have to spend six months to a year on the road before you can transition into a local job, and I suspect the local job market for truckers in Columbia is tight. -
I am out of Charleston Sc. I see local drivers down here absolutely EVERYWHERE. What are the chances of getting one of those gigs out of school.
