Funny story, the fueling dept called me the second month I had the card saying there was an issue with my EFS card as it was only showing reefer fuel and no tractor fuel. I informed them there was no error as I wasnt using EFS for my tractor fuel. They got an attitude asking if I cleared that with JCT. I said no. I buy the fuel so there nothing to discuss. There's nothing in my contract that says I must use your fuel card and if you want to push the matter I'll buy the reefer fuel and force you to reimburse me for that because my contract states John pays reefer fuel and doesn't specify what it has to be paid with. I'm tired of spending 30 minutes to an hour waiting for s pump at pilot/flyingj.

Needless to say the matter was dropped.

I'd be interested in any fuel stop example. Are you cost plus, or retail minus? Just looking at their website opens my eyes quite a bit.

    I'm cost plus program.

One example. Ta in Barstow at the pump is 4.099. Pilot is the same price.

After John's. .15 cent discount that's 3.949 you pay. With my discount at TA I would pay 3.768.

Yeah, I'm getting a 0.34 cent discount in AZ and CA and I don't think about it, until I see it on the settlement. That stuff adds up. I've always used pump numbers for my mental bookkeeping and I will continue to do so...just for the settlement surprises. What I will say for the 0.15 added to the card, I'm still spending that cash to this very moment. It's in my pocket and it thickened my wallet..full stop.

Not everyday you get to give the yard driver a few pointers on backing. Bar S in Elk City has a new yard driver on the job.

Yes, I said I was signing off, and yes my name is actually Scott. But after this recent experience with breakdown I just had to put this here.
We spent the last three days at Freightliner of Az. in Tuscon. At least 24 hrs of that was completely unnecessary. I spoke with breakdown at 1000 hrs explaining that the estimate being sent to them is what I needed done so we could get moving. Estimate was sent as I was on phone with breakdown. At approximately 0900 the next morning, breakdown calls me to tell me they are ready to approve estimate so work can be done. This after two nights in an overpriced hotel. I ask why just now and am told the estimate just came to me. The service writer shows me later that the estimate was sent and viewed the day I called breakdown.

Breakdown sat on this for a day without a care in the world about us or OTD on our load.

I've tried in the past to pay for such things as this out of my pocket, but it is almost impossible as breakdown must approve everything. We've really enjoyed our time here with JCT, except for one aspect, breakdown.

I will once again sign off with apologies to any I may have offended. I put this here because I know at least one person in management pays attention to this thread. Later, Scott.

How is it that jct cam force you to use them to pay for repairs?...that would be a violation of truth in leasing regualtions...no co can force you to use their svcs..
