I.m gonna guess it was warranty work? Prime example as to why you shouldn't get your truck from the same place you get your frieght.

They can't force you to use them. I pay for stuff all the time.
Think what he's saying is breakdown needs to approve repairs..
But I don't ever ask. If it's something that needs fixing.

Not sure why he would pay for warranty work out of his own pocket..

Waiting on warranty work approval does suck. But not much you can do there. Cry about it a bunch I suppose. lol

If it's warranty work the dealer will tell you and not charge you.

    drvrtech77 Thanks this.

Warranty work sucks when I got my truck in the shop at Freightliner of Phoenix it took them over a week to get warranty approval to drop the Driveline and balance it they wanted them to continue diagnosing to make sure it's not that and it was about a day between each message between Freightliner and Meritor. So it took them a week to balance a Driveline align the truck and fix the ride height.

JCT wasn't in the middle of any of that it was just Freightliner and Meriter going back and forth

    drvrtech77 and CannonballAA Thank this.

I know this to be true. I had my batteries go bad and petro tested them and told JCT that all the batteries needed to be replaced. JCT came back and told me that only one needed to be replaced. They wouldn't budge and I had the battery test sheet right in front of my face. I just bypassed them and paid cash to have all the batteries replaced.
