When i started trucking i was full of life real energetic person i could sleep 6 hours and be readyu to run a marathon. I was 26 years old awesome guy. I could make love to multiple women at the same time. I hiked the appalachian trail. I preferred des antos. Now. One year later im putting on weight im so ####ing tired i cant ever managr a 10 hour break. I need minimum 10 hours of sleep usually 11. But i sit around 2 to 3 hours trying to fall asleep. So im dead tired at 5am wakeup. I naturally sleep till lunch. One day i got to sleep in i slept for 26 ####ing hours all night all day like in a coma. I never get ti sleep in alarm always wakes me. But i really need 10 to 12 hours sleep. Im 27 now. I dont drink des antos i dont hike i dont have multiple women. Im just sooo tired. I run 3000 miles a week like every week recapping never getting a day off running reefer odd hour deliveries. I fell life slipping out of me. The life force being drained. Is this normal? Is it just from driving all day or should i see a doctor. I also need a crap ton of coffee ro get moving every morning.

See a doctor and have blood drawn. Have them check all your levels. I went through the same type of thing a few years ago. Couldn't stay awake for anything. No energy whatsoever. I literally thought I was dying. And gaining weight like a starving Ethiopian at the buffet.

They found my B12 levels were so low they barely registered on their test. I went for B12 shots every day for two weeks, took 2500mcg pill in addition to the shots. And I still take those every other day.

I started eating healthier. I was very active in my early 20's and never worried what I ate, because I burned it all off and never gained any weight. Now, I'm 36, and I eat pretty healthy, I'm never hungry. But I hit the gym daily, and if I can't, I go for a 2 mile run after work.

When I started driving, I was 160 pounds of solid muscle. After three years, I was 200 pounds of flab. I've managed to get back down to 175, with a goal of 165. But it's been quite a struggle.

    Good luck!

Dude, you need to get out of that truck and exercise, I'm 20 years your senior feeling better than you by the sounds of it. Get your internal house straight in dietary changes immediately , what and how much fluid intake makes a huge difference. Not a doctor by any means here ,some of what you describe sounds like you are having a vitamin deficiency as well as chronic dehydration. What color is your pee? If its dark yellow get water in you.

B-12 is great stuff. Better than caffeine.

I strongly suggest you ask for a sleep apnea test. Your symptoms of tiredness sound a LOT like classic sleep apnea tiredness.

You don't have to be fat to have sleep apnea.

The odd hours and never staying in a pattern are brutal. You stay punchdrunk all the time. I had a very tough week once, thought I was OK. Filled up with gas and kept trying to put the nozzle in the credit card slot. I called in sick.
