I have a cheap T-mobile flip phone that I used when I went to Canada (my Verizon plan can't add Canada coverage). I also forwarded my Verizon phone to it when I was back in the trailer tearing down before unloading because it was smaller and easier to carry. Plus, It actually worked better in some parts of the US than my Note 4...if they were to try to bully me...I would bully them back with the "you minions only have one phone? Be gone from my site silly peasant child!!!!!"

Our situation becomes somewhat interesting when we are in the area of say Seattle Tacoma, more specifically the airport area when changing planes.

The reason I brought this up to you is that when we have used flip phones in the past with the spouse and her mom calling me here in Arkansas at home for internet support for a variety of questions (That was where I came in, to find good answers online and make it available to them which I think is a very favorite activity, helping someone directly in real time with a specific problem when needed)

We find out a few weeks later when we got a 1000 dollar bill from our Carrier at that time because the phone managed to connect to a Canadian Tower somewhere in the area and then add long distance plus roaming plus international to the calls.

I hate to say this, but I am of the opinion that Seattle Tac Airport where they changed planes is American territory and I'll be darned if that little basic flip phone found a Canadian tower to talk to for that kind of money to be billed.

I love Canada for a variety for very good reasons (In my time the exchange rate was something like .67 US cents to the Canadian Dollar meaning that when I sit down and eat a proper steak dinner in the Canada truck stop halfway between Windsor and Toronto the 15 dollar value in Canadian Money becomes something like a 8.70 something in American dollars in my wallet. I usually take the time and trouble to spend a bunch of money in Canada. But have not spent it in the right places (*Shucks... maybe the Windsor Casino on that side of the Peace Bridge someday before I get too old perhaps...) And tipped the waitresses there in the truck-stops rather extravagantly for no particular reason after they served me this good food. Maybe 10 US Dollars is a bit much but Im pretty sure they will remember me the next time we go through there.

They might have been laughing because your zipper was fully down and all hanging out.

    HAW. That is so funny.

The idiots came up with that silly concept a few years back.

No wonder our tender and fragile millennial are damaged. It's all our fault for ruining all of them.

For years I used a Blackberry. I really liked them. Did everything you could want and then some. Then it happened. Yep, they lost the cool factor. They went from technogeek to the old peoples phone. It gets worse.
They stopped making cool apps for it. Soon accesories started disappearing. Walk into a store and ask for a new case for your Blackberry, the clerk just looks at you with those you poor soul eyes. Next thing you are starting to hide the phone from public view. But it works real good, then it gets worse. Your carrier stops supporting software updates. Then they get really nasty. They start sending you text messages about time to upgrade, the sales on new iphone or the galaxy or some other whats hot device. When you don’t upgrade yesterday, they start making things go slow. Texts take hours to get recieved, emails can take a day. So you go into the store and ask about the new phones, not one Blackberry to be seen.
