Why haven’t you left? Why do you still work for Walmart if you hate it so much. I would never work anywhere if I was so miserable there. I’m sure with your great knowledge and experience you could find a better job with higher pay in no time.

The other day in Nebraska a Wal-Mart driver hollered at me on the CB to take it down a couple channels. He wanted to pick my brain about the company I’m leased on to. He has driven for Wal-Mart for 21 years out of the DC in Kansas, he said most senior guys are leaving their DC he runs out of. He thought he would retire from Wal-mart, but he is considering buying a truck and walking away from what was once a great job.

That’s what’s on the most of the senior driver’s minds nowadays is to jump ship unless we’re planning to retire in another year. Only the guys who’ve never worked for anyone but a mega carrier would tell you what a great job this is.

JB is paying 1,000 a day currently. So 900 is definitely possible.

Driver, I don't know this Walmart driver but I have been with my current company for 8 years. It has turned to crap. I want to leave in the worst way. If I were a younger man with less responsibility I would have given them the middle finger a walked 2 years ago. But I have a house, family, 2 car payments and a child in college. I am also comfortable at my job. I know everyone. I know where every store and backhaul is. I could drive anywhere with my eyes closed. It would take a very special job for me to leave. I also applied for TransForce. BTW, they are paying 56 cpm to work at the Walmart DC in Frackville PA. Trust me, Walmart is a smart company and if they are set on getting rid of their driver force then it WILL happen.
