I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer but I've seen too many drivers get into the 1099 almost all cash deals and only find out how bad they were screwed when they get that letter and sit down with an IRS auditor. I believe you'll do fine. Being well informed and then making a decision is far better than the alternative.
