Thru the inspection hole on the bottom of the bell housing. its on the input shaft. it has a thin layer if padding on both sides around the the thickness of poster board. There is two groves in the shaft , that little tits on the brake ride on. sometimes they shear off which lets the brake spin on the shaft witch renders it inoperable.

The number one killer of clutch brakes is pressing the pedal all the way to the floor while the truck is rolling. if it engages good it will shear off the little tits that stop the shaft from turning so you can slide it into gear without grinding.

Shouldn't have washed the grime off, that's what's probably holding the truck together. Lol.

Just kidding though really. This sucks. I wonder if you had a seal starting to fail and the high pressure took it out.
