It happened just a few weeks ago. 207,000 miles at the time. 2017. Truck was towed to Freightliner shop and they did not give me any details on whatever work they did.

So you don't know what failure was it. not sure that fuel pump was broken. Your truck has latest fuel pump and I don't think it would be broken at 207k m. pre 2013 fuel pumps broke a lot. Bosch has updated them(changed inside parts). Since 2015 trucks are coming with latest pumps.

Our fleet with a little over 100 company trucks had a rash (8 trucks) with the fuel pump issue on 2016 and newer DD 15s. The whole high pressure rail system from the pump forward had to be replaced.

Nope, the freightliner dealer said it was an going issue with DD15s. Our trucks had the issue in all corners of the country, I could understand if we only fueled up at one location, but we use all major chains all over the lower 48.

What he means is that any fuel that you buy, anywhere is "low quality" these days. A good additive (Standyne, Diesel Hot Shot) does wonders for fuel lubrication and cutting down on regens and after treatment issues.

    mhyn and runningman0661 Thank this.

My Cascadia at 18F shut off. When I was idle after 10min. Since than not turning on. I believe fuel pump lost lubrications and stopped. Is it possible I can heat it up add 85F fuel with lubrications and it will work again or I have to change it ?
