That makes sense. I would call Jim and have him send you the proper clamps. Just tell him what you're doing and he'll know what to send.

Hope he will over night them. My plan is to try and Notch my headache rack myself and put them on so all i gotta do is go see him and get the AC installed.

Yes they do....but they do it in different ways.....

Freightliner is cheap in all good and bad ways (to maintain, cheaply built, rides like crap in comparison).

KW will be more expensive parts, but build quality and ride is noticeably better....

Given the amount of time we spend in these units....little differences can become significant.

    Pick your poison.

Notching the rack is easy, mark where you need it , drill a hole in top corners, use a sawsall, cut out notches, and you're done

Has anyone put there rackets to soak in motor oil? Mine where frozen up so I had to heat them I'm acid cleaning then repainting. But I think after I paint them I should soak them in oil so they dont freeze again

I would call them and make sure your warranty isn't void with you switching it and reinstalling it yourself? Just to be sure.

So far my KW parts aren't any more expensive than my Freightliner parts and the ride is a million times better. So I guess that's a big win!!! Lol

I second this. Don't want that to happen.

Liberal use of PB Blaster helps keep them from freezing up.....
