Where to park for night time showers?

    I usually run nights 8PM to about 8AM in the morning (depends on the load, it varies). I usually like to get a shower around the time I wake up, I usually take my 10 in rest areas. But everytime I pull into a truck stop at 9PM all the parking spots are full, leaving me to skip out on the shower. The fuel islands are usually empty for the most part but parking in a fuel island seems very unprofessional. I don't find a point in showering when I end my shift at 8am because I'm most likely going to smell again when I wake up.

    I woke up at 11PM and drove to the pilot 15 miles down the road, got there and surprise no parking. Figured my company pays for prime parking anyways so ill grab one of those but nope, also fully booked out.
    Any suggestions?

    I would think you have no choice and to park at the fuel island. At that time it won't be that busy. Park at the last pump i guess.

    I would try early morning like between 3am - 6am. Some drivers wake up early and leave.

    Try parking at the back of a truckstop instead of a rest area some time. Should be plenty of parking at 8am. Go to sleep, get up & get a shower, then start your day.

    If you’re shutting down at 8AM, there should be plenty of parking at truck stops. Park at a truck stop instead of a rest area.

    Seems easy enough. Just stop parking in rest areas and start parking in truck stops . You wake up go in and shower no parking trouble at 8 am like there is at 11 pm . Problem solved !

    I have questions:

    1. You start your clock, THEN look for a shower? Seriously?
    2. If you shower at 0800, and take 10 off, how do you get so stinky that you cant stand yourself? Medical problems? No air conditioning?

    Hey fellow vampire! Like others have said, 8AM is indeed a great time to park it. Wake up and get ur shower before you roll out. If thats not possible get your shower before you sleep. You might not smell terrific when you roll out, but you'll smell worse like a truck driver if you dont shower at all.

    It might be he's not liking the wait for a shower at around 8PM. He's wanting needing to leave but hes stuck behind like 8 other people.
