OR are you told to go to XYZ to fuel 100 gallons then go ABC and fuel 51 gallons.

 

Been working like that all summer, including right now.

 

Youve got to follow the fuel solutions given. But Ive always been given a new solution if they wont work.

 

Also is Opti Idel a real pain in the assssss?

 

The opti idle ain’t that bad if you get a good mattres.
I can complain about anything so listen up .
Optiidle will cool the sleeper and the front of the cab and the battery pack apu will keep the sleeper area cool while anything in front of the curtains, like the front seats will be hot, really really hot.

What do you use for a fridge??

 

No, not reliably. I have managed it a couple times accidentally, but haven't managed to be able to do so intentionally. When I actually wanted to do so, the company was more willing to get me a hotel room than tell me how to manually override so the truck would idle overnight.

As for fuel, we are told where they want us to fuel, and how much, but if that does not match the route you want to take, you can call dispatch and request different fuel routing. You can only request one fuel routing change at a time though. You also cannot request a specific location to fuel, just a town.

Sometimes the fuel routing is utterly retarded because the company uses Rand McNally routing, which can be horribly terrible at times.

You can also simply skip fuel stops if you dont need them. You only get a ding on fuel compliance if you fuel your truck somewhere they dont want you to.

And finally, you can fuel your reefer pretty much anywhere you can use an EFS card for payment, without getting a fuel compliance ding, though if you want to get reefer fuel at somewhere other than a national big name truck stop, you have to call to get it authorized.

 

I dont think its that simple. I know that that is at least part of it, but I think there's something else. When I needed the truck to stay on in Arizona because my opti idle wasn't starting properly, that didnt work.
