Heck the old traditional grown American food is very different and much better tasting than the stuff that is grown now.

Plant ripened fruits and veggies are a scarcity here now. Seems most have been hybridized to increase shelf life and they lost the flavour.

That is one of the good things about my property the nice old variety fruit and nut trees......
I think a green house (to keep the deer and birds out) will soon be in the plans.
