My roommate had just brought up the idea to team with him with an LTL carrier since he knew I was already looking at them for solo linehaul positions. We would definitely have no problems teaming but I'm not sure if it's better than solo.

Seems like most companies are at least .56 cpm solo and at least .64 cpm from my research for teams. What are y'all solo and team folks making a week working 5/6 days off 2 and how much cpm you making and started at? how fast y'all trucks go? Does teaming build up your seniority for a linehaul bid? We're based in ATL

I started at .5875 plus 9.50 for every break and hook.

I gross 1200-1300 with weekends off. I have the shortest run of our barn.

Truck does 66 on cruise but with these new tires 67 :)

Wife and I team together at R+L carriers. We gross 1900 each a week and home 2 full days on weekend. We are on a dedicated turn and burn. We are payed by the run and it averages 70cpm. Your seniority is good for linehaul team or solo bids. We run 72mph.

    buddies, father/son, mother/daughter, cousins, lovers, husband/wife.......

that truck is BIG on the outside, surprising SMALL on the inside...people have good days and BAD DAYS....

people get under each others skin....from time to time..

best go solo....i've been solo for the last 39 years, out of my 40.......

that other one year was just helping out the company. and even that was not a full year of my time...

Have you spent any time in a truck for a significant length of time?. I was in a trainer's truck for just shy of a month and it was horrendous. The only thing that kept me going was knowing that it was temporary. I can't imagine going into a "permanent" teaming situation.

But just to entertain the question, we get .72cpm solo, .38cpm teams per driver.

The teams make $1500 gross MINIMUM for a 4 day work week. You can work more and make more though. 4 day work week is all that is required though.

i can't and won't discuss how fast our trucks go due to my own selfish reasons. Maybe if we meet on the road or i pass you, you'll find out. Let's just say, probably faster than 65mph........

Depends on who you team with and what company. My wife and I are very happy teaming. We are grossing 95k each every year and home 2 full days every weekend. We are even home 3 to 4 hrs every day. We are now completely debt free and saving for retirement.

I teamed with my trainer in 92 and I wanted to kill the SOB! IT WAS IN an old cabover AND he was disgusting. Now I team with my wife. We get a new truck every 2 years. Home daily for 3 to 4 hrs and 2 full 24 hr days off on weekend. Making 95k each yearly. We paid our house and cars off 1st year. Now it's all going to retirement. We are 50 so we have another 15 years or so but should be set. I would not team with another guy. If I do extra it all goes into same account. With another guy if you do extra he gets half regardless.
