When the big tsunami hits the eastern seaboard they are estimating up to 12 Fukishima nuclear sized meltdown events. All you climate deniers will be squealing then for sure!!

The only ones denying it are the ones with eyes closed believing everything they are told, for us that have been around, we have seen many changes. Some are good, some are not. Has not the climate changed always?

Didn't the planet have ice ages, multiple times, that came and went before we even figured out how to rub 2 sticks together to start a fire. I bet in another 10 or 100 thousand years the planet does it again. Whether we like it or not.

I think humans as a whole do need to make an effort. It's the over zealousness of some that bothers me. The ones who scream were ruining the planet, point out all the "problems" - then offer no solutions. They can all just shut it.

Then when I did a hike a bit ago, up to @ 14,000 in elevation, looked down and saw sea shells.

I bet if @x1Heavy ever did any hiking he did it to a much higher elevation than a mere 14,000'. Hell, that was probably only the warm up.

I thought it was recycling, making the old new and burying the new.

I have done some Appalachian trail in sections. Usually a day hike out and back. It's something I had to let go when the body started hurting with that activity too much to take pleasure anymore in it. I probably walked Gettysburg a thousand times in life and that's a BIG battlefield. Something on the order of 5 by 10 miles.

I appreciate your thought. And yes it will be something higher than 14100 if I can find it. (Unfortunately the earth, the atmosphere introduces a dangerous form of sleep due to low oxygen above 13000 Hypoxia I believe is the correct term. 12 to 13000 is quite high enough thank you. I don't do well anymore on those passes or in unpressurized planes that high. There are just too much wear, tear and damage in the lung system.

    gokiddogo Thanks this.
