I see a lot of door slammers parked on the side of the road as you say and I think it's BS. I'm sure every one parked on shoulder blame it on e logs. As for open deck driver's if they took the time to do it right at the shipper they would not have to waste extra time on the side of the road putting themselves and others in danger. Just my opinion.

You can also get them in black or white.

I had a Volvo 670 a few years ago that I installed these on. Even if there was no fuel mileage gain, it was worth having them on the truck just so I could use my mirrors when it was raining. They also helped stability when it was windy or when another large vehicle passed. Do I believe they helped with fuel? Maybe slightly, but they did help with airflow around the truck. I also paid attention before installing them. I did a lot of 55-58 mph driving.

Also, wind tunnels aren't the only method and not entirely accurate considering we drive in varying conditions. Flow below, at least initially, didn't use wind tunnels for testing. They used on truck testing on a track for their results. Look at them now.

Some people just have no sense. I only stop on the shoulder if its a real emergency. Very rare that whatever it is can't wait. I've seen a couple very bad accidents involving vehicles that had been parked on the shoulder.

Can't remember his name but you are right he is vrrv friendly. If I see him at the lot I pick on him about his red shoes. He said no one else can pull that look off. Also he said that red is his favorite color.
