65 only has slower limits in Nashville to my knowledge and they are all vehicles. There are no split speed limits around Nashville. -
Here's something I've always wondered about when it comes to speeding: How is tolerance for speeding when you're going through a zone where trucks are limited to a lower speed than non-trucks?
For example, if I'm going through a zone where cars are limited to 70 and trucks are limited to 55 like Michigan used to be, I'm probably running 64 or 65. If the speed limit for cars is 70, then many of them are going right around 80, and I just don't feel very safe running 55 and having them run up on my trailer at 80.
I feel like troopers have a little bit more tolerance for trucks going a little bit over when it's that type of a zone. Anyone here ever gotten lit up in a zone like that? -
What they need to do is put sensors in the speed limit signs to send out signals to the trucks' ECM unit to limit that truck's speed to the exact speed limit for that zone since truckers are too stupid to limit their unit to what the sign says.
tucker Thanks this. -

But I-65 does not have any. And no one pays attention in Memphis as long as you are not blowing through car speed limits.
I just cruise with traffic when I run Midway and never gotten a sideways look. Their EPA exemption might go away anyways with the new emission standards.justa_driver Thanks this. -
