Actually, I disagree about the step thing on this coast. However, I would agree your setup was wrong. I also run a 48' step, but it's low profile fixed spread with an 8' upper and 40' lower. I have no problem with freight here.

I also have a full set of ramps, container locks and a couple load levelers. It's also capable of the occasional rgn load.

Btw, those colors on your truck look familiar. Are you out of Lodi? Joe?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I had this discussion with Dean in orientation....

I kinda had the same conversation with someone and it was something to the effect of, at least being lucky to be able to buy fuel in Oregon without having to worry about paying any of the taxes. Like someone else said, I have yet to see any bill for any underage, including mileage taxes.

This is the biggest reason I don't ever see myself leaving here and the reason I give when someone talks about greener pastures. For 1 or 2%, it just doesn't make any sense when we all pull the same freight for a pennies difference. Now, if the freight completely went away, that's an entirely different conversation.

I used to be one of them blue star boys and I know better. It seems they train you to talk and think in the gross terms rather than to the truck terms. I couldn't get the hang of it. I still have to clarify with friends of mine which way they're speaking.

They also don't speak of the nickel and dime bullsh!t.

Had the blue lights in Ohio pull me over yesterday to do a road side inspection because of the name on my door. The officer stated they have a high number and warrent the inspection. Everything was good with me so they sent me on my way.
