I have it! I have my new truck! I'm so freakin' happy I could spit!
I'm just waiting for an alignment and for the shop to look at my APU in the morning and I am good to go. There are some minor paint scratches and a cracked grill that will be dealt with later (have it in writing).
I'm dying to hit the road and feel that 70mph rolling out underneath me...WHA HA HA!!!!
Have an APU *and* a 2000 watt inverter. So I now have a microwave and a coffee pot and a crock pot. I have so many places to plug in....I'm like a technological crackhead on a major high!
I've been busier than a squirrel at a nut convention getting moved in and set up and signing paperwork. I'm down to putting up some velcro (I *am* the Velcro Queen!).
I'm just a leetle bit happy-tastic right now!!!!
RTBaack Thanks this. -

We'll be expecting many MANY detailed tales from the road, ok?
I know you'll do well, you have a good disposition and a lot of common sense. Keep that left door closed (except to take pictures of your new tractor for us) and stay safe! -
Having just left the employ of KLLM I for one am not singing their praises. From the time I started with KLLM a little over a year ago I have had problem after problem with my insistence on running legal. The loads I was given for the most part were close to if not impossible to make and many times I received phone calls that urged and then threatened me unless I did what had to be done to make the on time call. What I found out is that most of the time the planners start you with a fresh 11 when you are loaded, you are never given pick-up and drop times when you first get the qual com message, your only given the pick-up time....the drop time is added later. Another problem with KLLM as I see it now.....they have dropped their governer speed down to 61 which costs the driver lots of income not to mention the safety hazard it creates. They are now requiring all drivers to have Haz-Mat, (which is strange because I HAD Haz-Mat and was getting run and after run with nothing BUT Haz-Mat) and upon dropping that from my license, two months later they require everyone to have it. I've heard that they don't reimburse tuition to new drivers anymore? I guess that goes along with not putting in the employers part for the 401K which they stopped doing a month or so ago. And, not wanting to make this post 20 pages long with all my grievances I'll close by adding that they pay by household mover miles which is a shorter distance than the usual rand mcnalley miles and about 20 percent less than actual miles. So if your thinking of KLLM......all I can say is get ready to color your books and if you can sleep day or night.....or night or day.....then back to night, then day...and have just enough time to make the run......good luck.
BTW....my license is still clean and my logs have always.....always been legal......I guess that was my problem.....
