Worked out ok.
The 40’ straps on the bottom take up a bit of real estate, but fit 13 40’ on the bottom - 12 mixed 26’ and shorter in the middle - and 8 26’ with chain hook on the top.
Thanks to @6mmrem for the idea and motivation to make my work life tidier and easier. -
Threw the 2” straps and ratchets in there too.

Wife ordered them on amazon or eBay or somewhere?
That sounds like the right size though? I think I got 50 of them last year? I’ve had 3 or 4 break mostly in the cold.
cke, earnies2, PoleCrusher and 1 other person Thank this. -
Tug Toy Thanks this.

Here is what I come up with. Aluminum, laser cut, welded, with partitions. Those bottom left 2 straps made 1110 miles and only unwound a bit. I'll like that band idea, probably find a inner tube that works. Thinking regular rubbers will break in Canadian winter's. Thanks to all the replies.snowman_w900, stwik, blairandgretchen and 4 others Thank this. -

I think we are overthinking a simple problem just use rubber bands and put neatly in the side box
blairandgretchen and Hegemeister Thank this.
